It’s not like my husband and I need an excuse to drive across Canada in our RV this summer; after all this trip has been on our bucket list for a while. But the fact that 2017 marks Canada’s 150th birthday seems like an especially appropriate time to discover our country.
So, over the past few weeks, we’ve been outlining an itinerary and preparing for departure. While Dean checks the hose connections, fluid levels, and shakes the RV up from its winter hibernation, I am busy planning my wardrobe. To some, that may not seem as important as Dean’s job of ensuring our safety and road worthiness, but we’ve all seen the consequences of a wardrobe malfunction – and no one wants that!.
We are traveling with Bear, the best dog in the world. If you follow this blog you will soon understand the truth of that statement. :-)
Since Silhouette carries Canadian Fashions, most of which are designed and manufactured in Montreal, we’ll visit Montreal’s fashion district and some of our suppliers. After all, fashion is a huge industry, and I think it will be interesting to see what happens behind the scenes, before the clothing gets to the store. From concept to completion, there are many steps in between! Maybe I’ll even meet some of Canada’s preeminent designers! We’ll tell you about interesting boutiques and people we discover along the way.
Keep up with our travels and my wardrobe by following Silhouette’s blog “Fashion Statement.”
